• What Areas Can Be Treated With An Ipl Photofacial?

  Virtually any part of the body can be treated, however the best treatment areas are the face, neck, chest and arms.

• Are Results From An Ipl Photofacial Permanent?

  Yes results are permanent, however because pigmentation can always recur, repeated treatments may be recommended for ideal results.

• How Is An Ipl Photofacial Unique?

  Our IPL is a relatively quick and simple process that corrects pigmentation with little to no downtime.

• What Does Ipl Photofacial Feel Like?

  An IPL treatment may provide a warm sensation on the treated areas.

• What Kind Of Results Should I Expect From An Ipl Photofacial?

  Pigmentation should gently lift, so a more clear complexion/skin tone should result.

• Will My Results Look Natural?

  Yes, because the IPL treatment breaks up pigmentation, the new skin will be as clear as it was intended to be.

• How Long Does An Ipl Photofacial Take?

  Treatment duration depends on the area(s) treated. A treatment for the face may take 20-30 minutes while a treatment for the arms may take as little as 15 minutes.

• How Soon Will I See Results From An Ipl Photofacial?

  Results will typically take 7-14 days to develop. Some may require more time to reveal results.

• How Many Ipl Photofacial Treatments Will I Need?

  While some may love results from just one session, repeated sessions may produce even more ideal outcomes. Most candidates will be recommended a series of 3 sessions or more depending on the level of pigmentation.

• Is An Ipl Photofacial For Men Too?

  Yes. This is a great treatment for men as there is little to no downtime post treatment.

• Does An Ipl Photofacial Hurt?

  Because we provide a medical grade numbing cream, there is no pain during an IPL PhotoFacial treatment. As well, many decide to treat areas of the body without numbing, because very little sensation is felt during treatment.

• Who Should Not Get An Ipl Photofacial?

  Because IPL targets pigment, those with tanned or darker skin tones are NOT candidates for treatment. Those who have an active Herpes breakout or infection at the desired treatment area may not be treated. Because IPL provides a bright flash of light upon treatment, those with a history of seizures are cautioned against treatment. In addition, those who have recently used Accutane within the last 6 months may not be treated. As with any medical treatment, expecting & nursing mothers are advised against treatment.

• Is There Any Downtime From An Ipl Photofacial?

  No, however, immediately after treatment the treated area may become slightly darker and may be covered with tinted sunscreen or makeup.

• Is Ipl Photofacial Safe?

  Yes, this treatment is extremely safe for type 1-4 skin types with minimal downtime and minimal side effects. Those who are skin types 5 and 6 should NOT receive IPL treatments.

• What Are The Common Side Effects Of An Ipl Photofacial?

  Because IPL works to gently break up pigmentation, great results come with little to no side effects. After an IPL treatment, the pigmented areas may become darker in color and may appear flakey before they ultimately become lighter and brighter.

• What Should I Do To Get Ready For An Ipl Photofacial?

  We ask that you discontinue use of Retinols 3 days prior to treatment. As well, those with an recent tan may be turned away, so we ask that you avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

• What Is The Aftercare For An Ipl Photofacial?

  The aftercare is simple: we ask that you continue to keep the treated area moisturized. Of course, do not peel, scratch or use dermabrasion on the treated area(s). Don’t forget to use a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30+ if you are planning on being in the sun for prolonged periods of time.

• What Can’t I Do Post Treatment Of An Ipl Photofacial?

  Please refrain from dipping into hot tubs, swimming pools, ocean water or engaging in water sports until two weeks post treatment.

• When Should I Get My Next Ipl Photofacial?

  We recommend your next treatment to be spaced at least 2 weeks from the previous treatment.

• Can I Get An Ipl Photofacial Before A Special Event Or Travel?

  With any laser treatment that produces dramatic results such as an IPL Photofacial, you will want to schedule your treatments at least 2-4 weeks in advance of your special event. IPL Photofacial before travel is suitable unless you plan on prolonged sun exposure, in which IPL is not suitable.
